It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Bill at St. Boniface Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carol, his daughters Carla (Dave), Andrea (Marilyn), and grandson Thor.

Raised in Stony Mountain, Bill answered a calling to the ministry and became an Anglican priest. Throughout his career, he served parishes in the Carmen area and Winnipeg, touching the lives of many people through his compassion, wisdom and steadfast faith. He was known for his warmth, gregarious nature, and ability to transform a simple conversation into a meaningful discussion.
An avid reader throughout his life, Bill built an extensive collection of books and could often be found with one in hand. He cherished time spent at the cottage, at Winnipeg Beach with his family.
Bill's kindness and unwavering belief in the goodness of people touched countless lives. He will be deeply missed by his family, his many friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have shared a coffee, a conversation, or a chapter of life with him.
A private family burial will take place.

I met Bill in my role as his finacial planner. We became friends and his wife Carol worked with me. As a member of our parish, we met often. At a time of a very unsettling time, he was a great help. - Posted by: Jon Toogood (Former Paishioner) on: Jun 28, 2026

For many years, Bill helped me through a very difficult period in my life. He was always just a phone call away. He was a patient listener and a provider of guidance based on his own life experiences, readings and observations. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Bill appeared in my life when I needed him the most. My condolences to Bill's family. Rest in peace Bill knowing that your legacy lives on in those that you have helped. - Posted by: Steve Patrick (Friend) on: Jun 27, 2026
